Our program for Infants sets the pace around the needs and unique
differences of each child. The provider centers her day on the
schedules of those for whom they care.
Routines are the
curriculum for an infant’s day. Every moment offers opportunities for
learning. Caregivers are very aware that infants developmentally need
to explore their world. This takes place by offering experiences that
consist of all senses. This includes crawling, being held, stroller
rides, outdoor play, climbing and rocking.
- We follow a service plan for infants that are provided by the parents so that we can meet each specialize need.
- We look at the environment form the child’s view and we know that they need a cozy, inviting and stimulating place to grow.
- We are aware of proper sanitation measures and we follow them consistently and conscientiously.

Diaper
changing, feeding and other routines are viewed as vital times for
communication, self-discovery and socializing. We are early childhood
educators that see ourselves as professionals with children and with
parents.
Routine gives the infant/Toddler a sense of security.
The infant/toddler learns to trust repetition and the lack of change.
The child may not think about these routines but does FEEL the security
of familiar activities.
Young infants will not be on a schedule
rather they will sleep and eat on demand. There is music and singing,
reading and visuals, floor time, outside time and always words to
explain what activity is taking place next.
