Land Park Pre-School offers students the opportunity to study Italian.
Thanks, in part, to a contribution from the Italian Consulate General
of San Francisco and the Italian Cultural Society. Children at Land
Park Preschool have the opportunity to study Italian.
Directors
Patrizia Cinquini and Tonia Prencipe administer this incentive funding
program for elementary Italian instruction in California schools for
children from preschool to ninth grade. There are so many important
reasons to teach a second language in the early years of a child's
life, and many language experts agree that Italian is the easiest
language for children to learn.
Our instructor, Miss Lucia, is from Padova, Italy and has a masters degree in Modern and
Western Languages and Literature from one of Italy's most prestigious
universities- University` Ca Foscari in Venice. Lucia is a natural
teacher and has taught all levels of Italian. In addition to Land Park
Pre School she currently teaches both children and the adults at the
Italian Cultural Society.
Lucia meets with the preschoolers in
small groups at Land Park Preschool each Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday
for 30-minute classes. She teachers songs, reads stories presents art
projects and focuses on simple words and phrases in Italian.
