- We have planned a babysitting night for Friday, February 10th 6:00 - 10:30. We will have special art activities, games and dinner before putting the children to sleep. The cost is $30.00. Sign ups for babysitting are posted by each sign in. Let a staff member know if you have any questions.
A huge Thank you to Monique for the donation of tooth brushes & paste to go with our Dental Health projects. We really appreciate having them.
- We want to thank all the families who participated in our Sees sale in January. The candy will be here around Feb 8th. The money earned from our fundraising events goes towards our staff training in the spring and towards our "Week of the Young Child" activities in April. We will have one more Sees sale in the spring for Easter. (Then be done until next Winter.) We will also have a few more babysitting nights through the year.
- The classes will have Valentine celebrations on Tuesday, February 14th. The children may exchange Valentine cards if they wish. We ask that the cards are either unaddressed or written "To my Friend" and signed with the "sender's" name only. If you have any questions let a staff member know.
- We will be closed on Monday, February 20th in honor of President's Day. Enjoy your 3 day weekend. We will be closed for Staff Development at 12:30 on Thursday, March 29th and all day on Friday, March 30th. A complete list of holidays will be listed on the holiday page of our website.
- We remind parents to please keep all work, home and cell phone numbers updated. This is for parents and any other contacts you have listed for us. It is really important that we be able to reach you if we need to.
- We remind parents of our illness policy as stated in our Parent Handbook. Children with but not limited to fever, vomiting, unexplained rash, diarrhea or a severe runny or congested nose or cough must be kept home. If your child becomes ill at school you will be notified so that you may come and pick him/her up. We ask that your child is kept home for 24 hours after the symptoms (without medicine) are gone. A reminder that we administer only prescription medications in the original containers with the child's and physician's name on it. We have hand sanitizer at the sign in for adults to use. The staff disinfect their classrooms and contents at least once a day and more often if we think it is needed. If you have any questions let Miss Mary or Miss Regina know.
- Remember to check for coats and jackets, we are getting quite a collection. Make sure all children have an extra set of clothes in his or her cubby. (More if potty training!) We don't want to have to call you if we need to change your child.
- Remember as your children receive their scheduled immunizations to bring us a copy so we may update our files. Thank you!
- When dropping off or picking up your child please remember to pull in from the north driveway and park so that 2 cars can fit side by side. (But please allow enough space for the gate to open.) Please remember to pull in so that cars do not block the entrance. Also our wonderful neighbors @ Fresh & Quick Catering allow us to use their lot however they do ask that you use the spaces facing Riverside Blvd and not along the building or the fence separating our properties. During their business hours please do not use Japanese Service Center's parking area.
- Share Day for the Caterpillars and Bumble Bees is Tuesday and Wednesdays for the Butterflies. Remember no action hero toys & no weapons of any kind.
